Medford Clock & Barometer

Sample Wood restoration

This is a stick barometer made in approx. 1730. A piece of walnut was missing from the side of the instrument from a previous accident. It was sent to me for a new tube, and also for the case repair. New walnut had to be shaped, glued in place, and color matched. The original finish on the barometer was not disturbed. only the repaired section was refinished. The final result is all but undetectable.
